Job Overview:


In this role, you will manage financial reporting, tax preparation, and all types of GL accounting functions to ensure accurate financial data and regulatory compliance. You'll support monthly and annual closing processes and collaborate with teams to optimize collections and improve cash flow.


Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance:


    • Prepare separate and consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/EAS standards.
    • Manage monthly and annual closing activities, including P&L and financial position reporting.
    • Create and present key monthly reports (e.g., Aging, receivables metrics, collections, customer balances, FRA Monthly Report, Merchant Liability).
  • Revenue Recognition:


    • Accurately recognize and report revenue in line with accounting principles.
    • Process, verify, allocate, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
    • Proactively identify and address errors, suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and cost management.
    • Review and propose updates to accounting systems and procedures for greater accuracy.
  • Tax Compliance:


    • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax forms, including VAT, withholding tax (WTH), payroll, and income taxes.
    • Support tax audits and tax return processes.
  • Accounts Receivable & Collections:


    • Monitor and analyze AR aging reports to identify overdue accounts, taking action as necessary to optimize AR balances.
    • Develop and execute collection strategies to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt exposure.
    • Coordinate with the sales and customer service teams to address and resolve customer account issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:


    • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards related to e-payments and consumer finance, especially within accounts receivable.
    • Prepare required provisions in line with FRA (Financial Regulatory Authority) guidelines.
  • Audit & Continuous Improvement:


    • Conduct daily reviews and audits of internal accounting transactions to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
    • Actively contribute ideas for improving processes and systems within the accounting function.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, in consumer finance or e-payments.
  • Excellent English skills.
  • Professional certification CMA is an advantage.
  • Strong background in IFRS 15,16 & 9 and GAFI regulations.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations, including VAT, WTH, payroll, and income tax.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements specific to e-payments and consumer finance.
